Andrew Fritz

Percussion

Andrew Fritz is a freelance percussionist and music educator based in Grand Rapids. He has been a member of the Lansing Symphony percussion section since 2015. In addition to his LSO post, he is also a member of the Ann Arbor Symphony percussion section and Principal Timpanist with the Battle Creek Symphony. He also frequently performs with the Grand Rapids symphony, including their recent trip to Carnegie Hall in the spring of 2018. Andrew is an active percussion educator with teaching appointments at Aquinas College and Cornerstone University, both as an applied instructor and as a lecturer in percussion methods. He received an Artist Diploma as a student of Ed Harrison and Vadim Karpinos at Roosevelt University. Andrew also holds a M.M. from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a B.M. from Webster University.
