Dr. Brian Carpenter

As a Professor of Psychological and Brain Sciences and Co-Director of the Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging at Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Carpenter works to improve the quality of life for older adults. His research focuses on the clinical psychology of aging, with an emphasis on family relationships in later life. Dr. Carpenter explains how our mindset exerts a substantial influence on our physical health. He will present strategies we can all use to make minor tweaks in our thoughts and behaviors that will improve the quality and length of our lives.
Lansing Town Hall was organized by a group of women in 1953 to raise funds for the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. Since then, Lansing audiences have enjoyed some of the finest programs available on the lecture circuit. We appreciate your support and hope you will enjoy our 72nd season.
