We are thrilled to announce the return of LSO Kids! This exciting series provides the children in our community the chance to continue their music education during this difficult time. A new video featuring an LSO musician sharing their instrument, the exciting world of music, and their experience as a professional musician will be released every Tuesday from March through May. Please stay tuned for the next LSO Kids video premiering on March 16th!

Our tenth episode features LSO’s Principal Trombonist Ava Ordman. Ms. Ordman discusses the trombone, her experience as a young and aspiring musician, and her career as professional trombonist in the Lansing Symphony Orchestra.

The ninth episode of the series features Ashleigh Lore interviewing LSO Principal Bassoonist Michael Kroth. Mr. Kroth introduces us to the “double-reed” world of the bassoon and all of the fantastic sounds and music it can make.

Episode eight features LSO’s Principal Bassist Ed Fedewa being interviewed by Education & Outreach Coordinator Ashleigh Lore. Mr. Fedewa introduces us to the wonderful world of the double bass, the largest and deepest voiced instrument in the string section, as well as the modern electric bass.
