Courtney Millbrook, Executive Director
Courtney (Cooley) Millbrook brings several years of non-profit management and development experience to her role as Executive Director of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra. She has served on the staff of Michigan State University's Wharton Center for Performing Arts, Fredrik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park, and American Cancer Society. Courtney has a BA in Sociology from The George Washington University (Washington, DC) and immediately upon graduating, spent two years in Japan teaching English as a part of the JET program. She currently resides in her hometown of Grand Ledge with her husband, Travis, son, Grady, and dog, Daisy.
Karen Dichoza, Director of Finance & Operations
Karen (Cutshaw) Dichoza is a life-long resident of the Lansing area. She has held legislative, administrative and executive assistant positions with various political and lobby organizations. She attended Grand Valley State University where she studied Public Relations and Hospitality Business. Karen holds an Associate Degree with a concentration in business from Lansing Community College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor degree in Accounting Information Management.
Kristin L. Peterson, Director of Development
Kristin L. Peterson is happy to return to the Lansing Symphony after over ten years away. She served as Marketing & Development Associate for the Lansing Symphony from 1999 to 2001. From there, she took a position as Assistant Director of Development at Michigan State University’s College of Arts & Letters, eventually transitioning to Director of Development for the college. She has also served as Senior Director of Development for Albion College. Peterson is a pianist and holds a Bachelor of Music in Applied Piano Pedagogy and Piano Technology from Michigan State University, with additional education at Louisiana State University and Stephens College in Columbia, MO. She has taught piano privately, worked for Steinway & Sons Pianos in New York and worked as a Concert Piano Technician for the MSU School of Music.
