Our MasterWorks Series will bring you legendary pianist Christopher O’Riley, Ravel’s Boléro, Poulenc’s magnificent Gloria paired with Holst’s epic The Planets, return engagements by Ilya Kaler and Amit Peled for Brahms’ Double Concerto, an Evening with Mozart, Barber’s melodious Violin Concerto, a performance by a 2010 Gilmore Young Artist and a season grand finale performance of Beethoven’s Fifth.
The fourth season of our Pops Series will bring you A Night at the Movies: Take II, the annual Holiday Pops, and Rocket Man: The Music of Elton John, a full orchestra-rock show that will bring you Elton John’s classic hits like you’ve never heard them before!
Our four-concert Chamber Series invites you to experience the skill and artistry of our own fine musicians in an intimate setting. The Lansing Symphony Big Band will continue to play the hits of the ‘30s and ‘40s even better than you remember them. In October, our Halloween Spooktacular! Family Concert will provide family fun for kids of all ages. In April, we will present Parts II and III of Handel’s Messiah in collaboration with the MSU College of Music.
