Lansing Symphony Orchestra Day
At a Lansing City Council meeting on Monday, August 27, Mayor Virg Bernero proclaimed that Wednesday, September 5, 2007 would be Lansing Symphony Orchestra Day throughout the City of Lansing. LSO Board President Chris Day and Executive Director David Gross thanked the Mayor at the meeting, and a brass quintet featuring members of the Lansing Symphony played for Council members. On September 5th, a press conference was held in City Hall featuring a presentation of the proclamation and a performance by an LSO string quartet. Other LSO ensembles performed at a variety of locations in and around Lansing. LSO Day was sponsored by the Lansing Board of Water and Light and The Rossman Group.
